SCCS Group is working on the tenant improvements for a 7,000-square-foot space within a newly built affordable housing village, which will serve as the headquarters for Communities United for Restorative Youth Justice (CURYJ). This community center will play a critical role in CURYJ’s mission to shift the focus from youth incarceration to youth empowerment and leadership.

CURYJ offers a broad range of programming designed to support and uplift at-risk youth. These programs include community organizing, visual and performing arts, digital and technical assistance training, peer-to-peer mentoring, political advocacy training, and support navigating the criminal justice system. Additionally, the center will house a social enterprise café and restaurant, providing formerly incarcerated youth with valuable employment and entrepreneurship training opportunities.

SCCS Group’s contribution to this transformative space will help further CURYJ’s mission of empowerment, fostering a positive future for youth in the community.
